Meet Renae

To me, Human Resources is so much more than policy, handbooks benefits, etc.  HR is about the people, the connections and looking for opportunities to make a positive impact in our culture and in the lives of our staff.  In my role, I get to interact daily with staff to troubleshoot any issues, talk about concerns and build relationships grounded in trust. 

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a major in Secondary Education/English and minor in History and am a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).  My career path has not always been in HR, I have experience working in clinical research as well as in training and development.

I live in Portage with my husband, three kids, cats, and dogs. I love reading, camping, biking, football and softball. I have a fondness for historical mystery books, specifically during the Tudor era.
